The ICC T20 World Cup has been heating up and the game has been really exciting. There have been many great matches already, and many neck to neck finishes. A few upsets too, but that is all a part of a great game.
Among some of the most interesting moments were the Australia vs New Zealand match, the Indo-Pak match, and who can forget the incredible matches England had with West Indies and South Africa were single-handed domination helped break and make England. Following are the four teams we expect to reach the Semi Finals:
Let’s go with the most obvious team first. New Zealand is expected to be the most probable name, and after last night’s game, they have cemented their spot in the semi-finals.
After beating down the hosts in their own country, the team went on to dominate Australia and Pakistan in back to back wins, scoring a place in the semis.
The New Zealand team came out as dark horses, but have surprised everyone with an all round, dominating display of batting as well as bowling performances. Martin Crowe would have been so proud!
The West Indies team is just one win away from securing a spot in the semi finals of the ICC T20 World Cup, and it looks like they are going to get it with ease.
While the first match was all about Chris Gayle, he didn’t even bat in the second match, and yet the team managed to win it quite comfortably. It looks like West Indies, at the moment are hot favorites in their group.
While it is a tough choice to make between the African and English sides, when one looks at the batting order of South Africa, star-studded with Amla, De Kock, Du Plessis, Duminy, Miller, and AB De Villiers, the team is, at least on paper, better than most other sides at the moment. It might be a close line between England and South Africa, but we believe they have the edge.
The hosts are expected to just make it by a narrow margin, and it is expected to be a tough fight between Australia and India, as Pakistan have nearly crashed out of the tournament after last night’s loss.
India are expected to be favorites here as they also have the home advantage as well as a balanced side.
