The trend for south Indian films is making a huge impact in the theatres all over India.
Sridevi’s return after a span of three years is a much celebrated one this time as a Queen of a kingdom set in 1500 BC and Sudheep is her insurgent commander. Everyone knows that that Sridevi was first offered the role of Sivagami in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and this role was later played spectacularly well by Ramya Krishnan.
It must be noted that though Sridevi was quite interested in the role of Sivagami, the fee which she asked for was something the filmmakers were unwilling to pay and thus they opted for Ramya Krishnan instead.
The first trailer released, caused frenzy in the audience and the much eager fans of Vijay few days back. After the Big Budget epic Baahubali the next most awaited movie to hit the theatres is Pilu. Pilu is acclaimed to be the whopping competitor of Baahubali. Not even 24 hours had been completed before the teaser had crossed the two million mark on its views. Moreover, it has got 7.3 million hits on its official YouTube page till now. The trailer is released in three different languages which poses yet another challenge to Baahubali.
The Vijay starrer aims not only to break the records of the avant-garde Baahubali trailer in order to give it a stringent competition but it will also require to be critically acclaimed and in addition to that it will have to batter the Rajamouli directorial financially since it grossed five hundred and fifty crore worldwide at the box office.
