The Khan’s have ruled the Bollywood for a really long time, and going by the way their movies are performing in the markets, it doesn’t look like they are going anywhere for another good few years.
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have been the biggest performers in the box office for ages, and the two have been former friends turned rivals, turned friends again recently.
However, despite their new found friendship and love for each other, SRK and Salman are going to go head to head as Salman’s Sultan and SRK’s Raees release on the Eid Weekend.
There have been rumors that SRK is expected to push back the release of his movie by a month so that Sallu’s Sultan does well, but the rumors have been rubbished by Bollywood insiders, and this has now been made an official news after director Ritesh Sidhwani commented, saying that the movie will release as per the original plans and that there are no changes in the date.
“We are scheduled to release the film as planned. We have finished shooting most of the movie. Right now, we are working on the parts that were left, including a few action sequences that couldn’t be shot earlier due to Shah Rukh Khan’s knee surgery,” Ritesh Sidhwani said.
This is not the first time that SRK and Salman are all set to face each other, as this had happened many a years ago, when SRK released the movie Don which came out on the same date with Salman’s Jaaneman.
However, back then, the SRK fever was on its peak, and Don had outperformed all expectations and had beaten Jaaneman clean.
However insiders expect that this time the situation might not be the same, and that Salman does have an upper edge with the release of his Sultan, where he plays the role of a wrestler.
The movie is expected to showcase not only the typical Salman humor, but also some great acting from the man, who has bulked up his muscles for the movie and looks to be in a killer shape.
“Everyone talks about their deadlines, but there are five months left for Eid. So, you don’t know what will happen. As of now, we’re scheduled to release our film on that day,” Ritesh further added.
