Offbeat actor Gopal K. Singh, who has done notable roles in popular films like, Badlapur, Traffic Signal and Page 3, is all set to make a mark on the daily television canvass. The actor has now been inducted as a guest appearance role in a prime time television show, “Ye hain Mohabbatein”.
The actor will be introduced in a speed track of Ye hain Mohabbatein. It will move along the lines where the whole Bhalla shall be planning an elaborate visit to a temple. The objective of this trip is to offer gratitude for the main lead, Ishita’s child. The main lead is played by Divyanka Tripathi. Gopal K. Singh shall be playing the role of the bus driver that has been enlisted by the Bhalla family to drive them to the said temple. It will be further shown that Gopal’s character will attach a bomb to this vehicle. Most probably the male lead, Raman, will not be able to save his wife, Ishita.
Commenting on his return to the television job, Gopal said, “it feels good to be back on TV because now television and movies are more or less an equal medium to reach to larger audience.”
Elaborating on the role, he said, “It’s a short role of a bus driver who is here to take revenge and will leave the entire Bhalla family in a shocked state.”
Talking about the kind of roles that have attracted him, Gopal said, “I have always loved to play such negative characters in the past and I’m excited again for this one. I am also glad it’s a short cameo so I can return back to movies as soon as possible.”
Gopal is all set to start shooting for the show from Tuesday. Ye Hain Mohabbatein is an Ekta Kapoor produced program that airs on Star Plus.
